Rich with Pre-Columbian and Spanish Colonial art and architecture, this amazing tour begins in Peru with visits to Lima, the Sacred Valley, Cuzco, and the ancient site of Machu Picchu, “The Lost City of the Incas.” Visits include Ollantaytambo, a living town and the site of massive Incan ruins; Chinchero, an Incan farming town where residents live much as their ancestors did; and Sacsayhuaman fortress, a masterpiece of Incan architecture. From Peru, continue to the elegant and less traveled destination of Quito, Ecuador, with visits to the Intiñan Museum and the Middle of the World Monument, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral of Quito, and the newly opened National Museum of Ecuador. Our final stop will be four unforgettable days in the Galapagos Islands.
