Travel the ancient Silk Road across Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan to experience the art and architecture of Moghul, South Asian, Islamic, and Eurasian cultures. Visit the National Museum of History in Ashgabat, the UNESCO archaeological sites of Nisa and Kunya Urgench, the Juma Mosque, and a private visit to Gur Emir Mausoleum. Visit bazaars in six ancient cities. In Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, view the world’s oldest surviving Islamic holy book, the 7th-century Uthman Quran, brought to Tashkent by Tamerlane. This trip will be limited to no more than 18 guests, and is expected to fill quickly.
