Registration for Members
To accommodate the high volume of enrollment, members-only registration for the following categories will begin as noted below:

Studio School and Adult Art History Classes
Wed, Apr 10 | 8 am
Early Childhood Classes & Camps (age 5 and under), Kids Studio Classes (ages 5–12), and Teen Summer Classes (ages 13–17)

Note: Upon registration, VMFA will send a confirmation to the email address you use in your registration. Please review the information carefully as it provides further details about the program and the student emergency form, which should be submitted on the first day of camp. It is important that caregivers understand all rules, policies, and procedures including drop-off and pick-up procedures, food regulations, studio conduct, and VMFA’s cancellation policy.
Connect-a-Camp: For students enrolled in both morning and afternoon youth camps, this program provides supervised activities such as drawing in the galleries and playing games as well as supervision during lunch. Students are required to bring bagged lunches from home.

CAROLINE VELAZQUEZ
Ages 5–6 | Focus on one of the five senses each day. Touch, see, hear, smell, and taste in the most creative way! Discover how artists use senses to explore, interpret, and create art while making your own multisensory creations.

[C3] Drawing Fundamentals
Mon–Fri, Jun 24–28, 1–4 pm| Art Education Studious
TIFFANY GLASS FERREIRA
Ages 5–6 | Experience the fun in fun-damentals while boosting skill, confidence, and creativity in drawing. Gain insight into using lines, shapes, and textures with different media to draw playful pictures from observation and your own imagination.

Mon–Fri, Jul 1–5, 1–4 pm | Art Education Classroom
KERRY MILLS
Ages 5–6 | Unearth fun through innovative ways to make art inspired by nature. Take joy in using natural materials and art supplies to create organic compositions, environmental sculptures, prints with plants, and much more.

MARY SWEZEY
Ages 5–6 | Fall in love with textiles as you explore in the basics of silk painting, printing, and weaving. Stunning textiles in the galleries are sure to inspire your own artistic fabric-ations!

Ages 5–6 | Let your imagination run wild in this exploratory adventure inspired by animals and your own imagination. Play around with different painting, printing, and sculpting techniques to create crazy creatures and whimsical wonders.

MAYZIE ZECHINI
Ages 5–6 | Spark imagination and creativity through constructive play, museum excursions, and mixed-media art activities. Enjoy using paints and unexpected materials while learning new techniques and strengthening fine motor skills.

Ages 5–6 | Learn about luminaries of the art world and discover how people can make positive changes to help others. Enjoy making puppets, painting storybooks, and other projects inspired by kindness and making good decisions.

Ages 5–6 |Embark on a cross-country trip through time! Connect art and nature through American history and our National Parks. Explore Native American heritage, wildlife, and conservation, see artworks inspired by park landscapes, and make your own multimedia works that document the journey!

Mon–Fri, Aug 5 - 9, 9 am–noon | Art Education Studio 2
ALEX PARRISH
Ages 5–6 |Mix movement and art making to discover new artistic possibilities! Engage in activities that get you moving and grooving, such as energetic action painting, fantastical dancing, and kinetic mobile construction. This camp is extra messy; please wear old clothes and shoes.

Mon–Fri, Aug 5 - 9, 1–4 pm | Art Education Classroom
JAFFRAY WITHEROW
Ages 5–6 |Explore the outdoors and let your imagination run free! With a focus on bugs and insects, enjoy storytelling, movement exercises, music, field investigations, and, most of all, art making. Create work inspired by favorite tiny creatures using a variety of sculptural media including natural materials and air-dry clay.

Mon–Fri, Aug 12 - 16, 1–4 pm | Art Education Classroom
