Functional and structural little pots of warmth and personality!
Having earned an MFA at Penn State, Jake Johnson extensively studied both sculpture and ceramics. He was drawn to clay because of its working properties and the opportunity to give his work the basic qualities of life: a sense of movement, growth, and breath. The pieces develop their own presence and take on unique personalities, feelings of animation, and trajectories. Jake designs his teapots and other ceramics to engage the user visually and tactfully while fulfilling a purpose for each delightful piece.
