This bowl’s evenly glazed surface and its precisely molded decoration make it one of the finest examples of its type. The celadon glaze and molded floral design on the vessel, which was produced at the imperial kiln in Jingdezhen, reveal Emperor Yongzheng’s interest in flowers and his fascination with the monochrome glazed ceramics of the 12th century. Pictured here is the bowl’s inscription.
