With its raised edge and twelve rounded corners, this table emulates the shape of a lotus flower. A symbol of grace and purity, the lotus resiliently blooms in Korea in the summer. The table’s design originally comes from Gyeongsang, a historic province in southeastern Korea, and its curving “tiger legged support” can be traced to Gangwha Island, west of Seoul.
