Waterways of Russia

Jul 17–28, 2022

Travel with VMFA Curator Dr. Susan J. Rawles to discover the timeless pageantry and traditions along the scenic rivers, lakes and canals that link Russia’s cultural capitals of St. Petersburg and Moscow. Cruise for six nights aboard the exclusively chartered, deluxe, 90-passenger VOLGA DREAM. Also, spend three nights in Five-Star accommodations in St. Petersburg and one night in Moscow. Enjoy an early entrance, guided tour of the State Hermitage Museum, and visits to Catherine Palace and Petrodvorets in Pushkin. Explore old Russia’s heartland in 10th-century Uglich and medieval Yaroslavl, the 14th-century Kirillo-Belozersky monastery near Goritsy, and the open-air museum of Kizhi Island and the Church of the Transfiguration, the 22-dome 18th-century church built entirely without nails. Enjoy traditional Russian tea and cakes in a Svirstroy villager’s home. There is a post-trip extension available in Moscow. We expect our limited number of spaces for this trip to be taken quickly.

From $5,995 per person, double occupancy
