Leadership Giving
For their generosity, members in the Leadership Giving Societies receive the following benefits plus added benefits according to their specific level.
Unlimited free admission to all ticketed exhibitions for two adults and all children in the household under the age of 18 (or up to four grandchildren), plus four additional guest tickets per visit
Members-only hours and previews for select exhibitions
Invitations for two to the Curator’s Choice and VMFA Circle Lectures
Free parking and discounts on dining, shopping, and ticketed events
Member pricing on VMFA classes plus early registration
One free Family gift membership per year (upon request)
Opportunity to join Canvas, a vibrant community of art lovers, or become a museum volunteer through The Council of VMFA
Opportunities to travel with VMFA and rent a private event space at the museum
Reciprocal membership benefits with more than 1,400 museums

Commonwealth & Director’s Societies
Beginning at $25,000
The Commonwealth and Director’s Societies represent the pinnacle of annual support for the museum. For their exceptional philanthropy, Commonwealth and Director’s Society members enjoy unique experiences, including an exclusive annual event.
Director’s Society members ($50,000) may direct half of their gift to support exhibitions, education, conservation, or a capital project with the associated recognition and benefits.

Tax Deductibility
Leadership Giving Society memberships are largely tax deductible. Members may opt out of specific benefits to receive the full tax deduction. Activating the free Family gift membership may affect the figures below.
Patrons Society: All but $100 is tax deductible.
Fellows, Fabergé, and Founders Societies: All but $200 is tax deductible.
Commonwealth Society: All but $350 is tax deductible.
Director’s Society: Tax deductibility varies according to which museum priority the member chooses to support each year.
