Family African American Read-In

Sat, Feb 23, 11 am–noon

Meet at Visitor Services

The Family African American Read Read-In celebrates children’s literature and art created by African and African American artists. Experience these works with your children through discussion, music, movement, and enrichment activities. (Intended audience: children ages 2 1/2–8 years; everyone is welcome).

Please gather in the Atrium for introductions and an opening reading with Secretary of Education Atif Qarni. Afterwards, the group will be divided and guided to the first object. The groups will then travel to their 2nd second object for the last half of the hour.
