Celebrate the opening of the special exhibition Ansel Adams: Compositions in Nature and explore the artist’s lifelong connection to music. As a tribute to Adams—one of America’s most celebrated photographers—the evening includes a special performance of selected themes from the Brubeck composition “Ansel Adams: America” by Michael Jefry Stevens, pianist and composer. Dr. Christopher C. Oliver, Assistant Curator of American Art for VMFA and curator of the exhibition, will provide an introduction for the concert.
