Two true tales from Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory by Catherine O’Sullivan Shorr and Patrick Nagle:

How Andy Discovered (and lost) Edie and Created the Superstars (2018; 43 min): When Warhol opened the doors to his Studio/Factory in his prolific period of the 1960s a glamorous muse showed up to inspire him, Edie Sedgwick. Uncensored interviews and archival footage give us an unflinching portrait of the controversial artist, the tragic ‘It’ girl, and the unconventional women Warhol called Superstars.

How Andy Discovered Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground and Nico (2018; 45 min): This film goes back to the very beginning in 1965 and the first public performance of the Velvet Underground in New York City. Warhol Factory People and others tell the story of the amazing relationship between Lou Reed, The Velvets, and Andy.
