Discounted Membership Categories
The following membership discounts are available:
Student memberships are available for $10/year to individuals aged 13 and older with a valid student ID. General-level membership benefits apply with the exception of physical mailings such as VMFA magazine and membership cards. Join online or visit the Visitor Services Desk with a valid ID to receive the discount.
Teachers and out-of-town residents (60 miles outside of Richmond) may receive a $10 discount on any membership level except the Student level (one discount per membership). Please visit the Visitor Services Desk with a valid ID to receive the discount.
Commonwealth of Virginia Employees and Active-Duty Military are eligible for a special $60 Dual or Family membership. Please visit our Visitor Services Desk with a valid ID to receive the discount.
Museums for All is a nationwide initiative. Museums for All encourages museum attendance by removing affordability barriers for people who receive assistance through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC). VMFA participates in Museums for All by offering exhibition tickets and memberships at lower costs.
A yearlong VMFA Family membership is $5 for Museums for All participants and will include the same member benefits as those listed under the museum’s General membership levels.
