The villain Ko no Moronao (the figure in the black robe) has been caught by the young samurai Momonoi Wakasanosuke making improper advances to Enya Hangan's wife. Wakasanosuke confronts Moronao, and, here is being rebuked by the villain. Japanese actor Bando Kamerzo is pictured as Moronao, and Kataoka Nizaemon VIII is shown in the role of Wakasanosuke.
