Ways to Give

Bequest
A bequest is a simple and effective way to continue one’s contribution to the VMFA Foundation beyond one’s lifetime.

Charitable Gift Annuity
Transfer cash or securities to the VMFA Foundation, in return for the Foundation’s guarantee to make fixed quarterly payments which last as long as the annuitant(s) live.

Charitable Remainder Trusts
Consider an irrevocable transfer of cash, marketable securities, or other property to a trust. Make an agreement with a trustee (usually a financial institution) that pays an income to beneficiaries for a lifetime and/or a term of years.

Retirement Plans
Retirement plans designated for VMFA save income and estate taxes, and the tax savings will pay for most of the gift.
