Art, writing, reading, and books have a long and important connection. To investigate and illuminate this connection, VMFA offers a variety of literary programs sponsored by the Freeman Library.
VMFA Book Club
VMFA staff and guest presenters explain how the museum’s collections and exhibitions relate to works of fiction or narrative nonfiction. Young book lovers in grades 3 – 7 are invited to bring their favorite adult to this gallery talk and hunt that explores how the museum’s collections and exhibitions are connected with popular chapter books.
