Description
Maureen and Rebecca Worth live surrounded by nature. That organic setting is the inspiration for Sylvan Spirit, the beautiful botanical jewelry that this mother/daughter team delicately sculpts from porcelain, stoneware clay, and precious metal clay in sterling silver, 14K gold plate, and bronze. After the texture and gentle curves of the petals and leaves are formed, the flowers are then woven with pearls and other semi-precious stones. On May 10 — just in time for Mother’s Day — the artists will show and sell pieces from their wearable garden at the VMFA Shop.
